Join us for a special screening of Porcelain War, the Academy Award-nominated documentary and winner of the 2024 Sundance Grand Jury Prize for U.S. Documentary.
Filmed in Ukraine during Russia’s full-scale invasion, Porcelain War follows Ukrainian artists Slava Leontyev, Anya Stasenko and Andrey Stefanov, who choose to remain in their homeland. Amid shelling and destruction, they continue to create art, find beauty in the world around them, and defend their country and culture. The result is a visually extraordinary and deeply human story of Ukrainian resilience, cultural resistance and the determination to preserve life, identity and creativity in the face of war.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Australian producer Camilla Mazzaferro, offering an opportunity to hear more about the making of this remarkable film.
